The School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) organized an Inter-Department Sports Event on 20–21 August 2025 for first-year students as part of the Orientation Programme. The event was aimed at fostering team spirit, enthusiasm, and awareness about the importance of sports in maintaining physical and mental well-being. A diverse range of sports activities was conducted, including indoor games such as Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Dodgeball, and Badminton, along with outdoor games like Tug of War, Sack Race, and Three-Legged Race.
Students from all SALS departments participated enthusiastically, showcasing remarkable sportsmanship and camaraderie. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Singh, Director, SALS. The program was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Mr. Mohd Kamran, Sports Coordinator, SALS. Faculty members Dr. Maneesha Pandey, Dr. Mahima, Dr. Jerry James, and Dr. Aashish Riyal graced the occasion and encouraged the participants.
Over the two days, students exhibited strong competitive spirit while motivating and supporting their peers, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The winners were felicitated and appreciated by the Director, SALS, for their outstanding performances, marking the event as a great success.
