Industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company

Objective of the Event- The objective of the visit was to encourage industry–academia interaction and explore career prospects in the sector. 

Short description about the event – During the industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company, the students were able to observe various processes related to the manufacturing and quality assurance of wellness products. They acquired valuable knowledge about the workplace environment, industry regulations, and the standards upheld in a professional context. Students also explored the Herbal Garden, which features a wide variety of medicinal plants used in herbal formulations. In addition, the Museum showcased the rich history, achievements, and product innovations of the company, providing students with a deeper understanding of Himalaya’s contribution to herbal medicine. 

A memorable part of the trip was a motivational talk delivered by Dr S. Farooq, President, Himalaya Wellness Company, who inspired the students to strive for excellence in their studies and careers. His uplifting message highlighted the significance of dedication, creativity, and maintaining focus on their objectives. 

The students expressed their appreciation to Shri Jitendra Joshi, Hon'ble Chancellor, Uttaranchal University; Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University; and Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, for making the organisation of the visit possible.
