About the Event: A Zero Lecture was conducted at the Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences for B.Pharm 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students, as well as D.Pharm 2nd-year students. The Zero Lecture aimed to familiarise students with the Institute’s Mission, Vision, Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs), Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs), Programme Outcomes (POs), and Course Outcomes (COs), along with the Bloom’s Taxonomy framework.

The Institute’s Mission and Vision statements were discussed, highlighting its commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical education and research. The lecture utilised Bloom’s Taxonomy to categorise learning objectives into six cognitive levels: Knowledge (Remembering), Comprehension (Understanding), Application (Applying), Analysis (Analysing), Synthesis (Creating), and Evaluation (Evaluating).

Students gained a clear understanding of the Institute’s Mission, Vision, and objectives, and were informed about the expected outcomes of the programme and courses. Faculty–student interaction facilitated a better understanding of the programme requirements.

The Zero Lecture was successfully conducted under the supervision of Dr Yogita Tyagi, HoD, UIPS, and Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, setting a strong foundation for the academic journey of the students.
