Objectives of the Event: The event aimed to provide final and pre-final year B.Pharm students with practical insights into pharmaceutical entrepreneurship, including the process of establishing a pharma company and launching products in domestic and international markets. It also sought to encourage industry exposure through participation in global exhibitions and to raise awareness of current technological advancements.
Short Description of the event: An Entrepreneur Session with our Alumni was conducted for final and pre-final year B.Pharm students on 05 August 2025 in Classroom No. 109, UIPS. Mr Waseem Azizi, a distinguished alumnus of UIPS and Proprietor of Renvox Lifescience, delivered the session. The primary objective was to expose students to the entrepreneurial landscape of the pharmaceutical industry and inspire them to consider start-up opportunities in this domain.
Mr Azizi shared his entrepreneurial journey and provided valuable guidance on establishing a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit, covering critical aspects such as obtaining regulatory approvals, setting up infrastructure, ensuring GMP compliance, and launching products in the Indian market. He also spoke on export opportunities, outlined procedures for international trade, and emphasised the importance of trademark registration and brand protection in a competitive market.
Importantly, Mr Azizi informed students about upcoming global pharmaceutical machinery and packaging exhibitions scheduled for November 2025, including CPHI & PMEC India (25–27 November) in Delhi NCR. He encouraged students to explore such platforms for exposure to cutting-edge technologies, industrial networking, and hands-on learning about current innovations in the pharma sector.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion and was well-received by the students. It was coordinated by Mr Ashish Singh Chauhan, Alumni Coordinator and Assistant Professor, UIPS, and was acknowledged as a highly informative and motivating experience.
