UIT Conducts 7-Day FDP on "MongoDB Associate Developer"

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, successfully inaugurated a 7-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the topic "MongoDB Associate Developer" on 10th July 2025. The FDP is scheduled to run from 10th to 16th July 2025, aiming to equip faculty members with advanced knowledge and practical skills in MongoDB, a leading NoSQL database technology. 

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr Dharam Buddhi, who formally inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address, Dr Dharam Buddhi emphasised the crucial role of continuous skill enhancement for faculty members in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. He highlighted that faculty development is not only essential for individual growth but also a driving force behind academic excellence and institutional progress. Dr Buddhi encouraged all faculty members to actively participate in such training programmes to stay updated with industry-relevant skills and to effectively guide students towards innovation and career readiness. 

 

Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Prof. (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, and Dr Madhu Kirola, Head of the Department of CSE, who welcomed all participants and highlighted the department’s commitment to continuous faculty development and industry-aligned training initiatives. 

 

The sessions of the FDP are being conducted in the Computer Lab of UIT, where faculty members engage in hands-on training and expert-led sessions covering core MongoDB concepts, performance tuning, schema design, data modelling, and practical implementation strategies aligned with the MongoDB Associate Developer certification standards. 

 

The 7-day Faculty Development Programme on "MongoDB Associate Developer" is being effectively moderated by Dr Shagufta Parveen, Mr Rohan Kukreti, and Mr Gaurav Kumar, esteemed faculty members from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, UIT.
