The School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, organized “A One-Day Hands-on Training Workshop on Psychological Tools and Equipment (Train the Trainer Edition)” on the theme “Neuro-Synergy” on 16 July 2025 under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, School of Liberal Arts. Dr Aayushi Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Liberal Arts, coordinated the workshop.
The session was facilitated by Dr Reetesh Riku, Founder, Conscious Mind Solutions Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, who served as the resource person for the day. He was formally welcomed and felicitated by Prof Kumar with a token of appreciation and gratitude.
The workshop was actively attended by all the members of the Faculty, School of Liberal Arts. Dr Riku conducted an intensive hands-on training session that focused on the use of contemporary psychological tools and technologies. Participants received practical exposure to CogniPlus Software, a digital platform designed to train and enhance various cognitive modalities, including attention, memory, and executive functioning. Additionally, faculty members received training in the use of eSense Respiratory Biofeedback. This tool facilitates real-time monitoring and regulation of breathing patterns to manage stress and anxiety, as well as eSense Skin Response Biofeedback, which measures and trains emotional and physiological responses through skin conductance.
Beyond the digital tools, the workshop also introduced participants to several standardized paper-and-pencil psychological tests relevant for assessment and research purposes. These included the Kundu Neurotic Personality Inventory, Body Image Scale, and Mobile Phone Addiction Scale, among others. Their theoretical foundations, applications in psychological research, and utility in field-based assessments were briefly discussed. The hands-on training workshop not only bridged the gap between theoretical understanding and applied practice but also opened pathways for integrative, evidence-based psychological training in academic settings.
