The Department of Mathematics, School of Applied and Life Sciences, organized a two-day International Conference on "Computational & Mathematics Methods in Applied Sciences (ICCMAS-2025)" from 25 to 26 April 2025. The aim of the conference is to exchange the knowledge and the various advancements in the field of computational and mathematical sciences by providing a dynamic platform to researchers, academicians and students.
The conference was inaugurated by Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Shiv Kumar Kaushik from University of Delhi, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof Ajay Singh, Director, SALS and convenor of the conference, Prof AK Malik and Prof V K Srivastava.
Prof Ajay Singh, Dean Research, extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and guest speakers who presented their lectures both in-person and online during his address. He highlighted the use of computational methods for research publication.
Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, addressed the audience, emphasizing the need of multidisciplinary collaboration and creativity in applied science. His presentation inspired attendees to conduct research that connects theoretical frameworks with practical implementations.
Later the Guest of honour Dr Shiv Kumar Kaushik from the University of Delhi and Prof A K Malik, School of Sciences, UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj (U.P.) addressed the gathering and shared their perspectives on current advancements in mathematical modeling and its influence on practical problem-solving.
The two-day conference included numerous technical sessions, keynote speeches, paper presentations, and interactive discussions on a variety of topics such as computational methods, data analytics, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and their applications in science and engineering.
A prize-distribution ceremony conducted in the afternoon of the second day of the conference, April 26, 2025, during the Valedictory Session. Dr Vikas Kr Sharma, the organizing secretary of ICCMAS-2025, delivered the vote of thanks to all members. The event achieved success due to the collaborative efforts of the core committee members: Prof V K Srivastava, Dr Vikas Kr Sharma, Dr Manoj Kr Sharma, Dr Shalu Chaudhary, Dr Atma Nand, Ms Pratibha Pandey, Ms Shivangi Baghel, and Ms Anjali Naudiyal.
