Swami Vivekanand Auditorium at Uttaranchal University came alive with emotion and excitement as Expressions – The Literary Club of UIT organized Visionary Vignettes 2025, a vibrant drama competition celebrating the power of performance and storytelling on 16 April 2025.
Adding to the prestige of the event, dignitaries from the university leadership were present to show their support. These included President Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice- President Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, and Pro Vice- Chancellor Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna.
The occasion was graced by Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director UIT, Dr. Madhu Kirola ,HoD CSE, Head of the Department of CSE, Dr. S.K. Shah, First-Year Coordinator, Prof. (Dr.) Anil K. Dixit, Chairperson of the University Literary Committee, and other respected Heads of Departments and faculty members, all of whom appreciated the students’ creative endeavors.
The esteemed panel of judges, Dr. Rachna Joyal and Mr. Mohit Doval, brought their expertise and experience to the table, evaluating each performance on aspects such as originality, acting, direction, and impact. Dr. Pinki Chugh, coordinator, Expressions – The Literary Club, along with the organizing team, played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event along with the unconditional support by Prof (Dr)Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT.
The team "RD Dramatic Dynamos" from SLA claimed the first prize for their gripping performance and storytelling. The first runner-up position was secured by "Insightful Digital " from UIT, followed closely by "Digital Dilemmas" as the second runner-up. Both teams received high praise from the judges for their originality and stage presence. The event was wrapped up with cheers, group photographs, and a sense of pride among all participants and organizers.
