Law College Dehradun organised the fourth edition of 'Intensity’, the Modelling, Dancing and Singing' competition at Uttaranchal University on 20 March 2025, under the aegis of Cultural Committee of Law College Dehradun. Mrs. Anuradha Joshi, Vice President of the Governing Committee of the University, was present as the chief guest of this occasion while Dr Devi Dutt, Kshitij Chopra, Karuna Chauhan and Diksha Chauhan, renowned in the world of dance, singing and fashion, were present as judges. More than 250 participants from various departments of the university participated in the competition.
The program commenced with lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest Mrs. Anuradha Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Executive Director Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Principal Prof. Poonam Rawat, Dr. Rita Rautela and Director Ms. Ravneet Kaur. The final round of the competition, which went through various rounds, was the special attraction. It was a lively and colourful performance, where the talents presented classical singing and Jagar as well as folk dance, Garhwali, Rajasthani, Kumaoni, Punjabi Bhangra and Gujarati folk dance. The fashion show was vibrant and hooked the audience to their seat.
Speaking on this occasion, Mrs Anuradha Joshi said that for the inclusive development of any student, extracurricular activities are also important along with education. Today's youth is full of energy, and it is a vital responsibility of the academicians to steer it in the right direction with positive guidance. She said that the energetic youth of Uttaranchal University presented a glimpse of the whole nation under one roof.
After a tough competition, the jury declared Yashi and Ayush as the best models, Abhinav as the winner of singing, Richa Pathoi and Vedika as the winners of dance and Riya and Ayush Mandwal as the winners of dramatics.
