INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY

On International Mother Language Day, UIT CEC, in collaboration with the Literary Club, organized a special event to celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity, emphasizing the importance of preserving native languages and fostering multilingualism on 21 Februray 2025. This annual observance serves as a reminder of the need to protect and promote linguistic heritage, ensuring that diverse languages continue to thrive across generations. The event featured a series of engaging activities, including singing performances, speeches, and interactive games, making it a memorable experience for all attendees. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the recitation of Kulgeet, setting a respectful and inspiring tone. This was followed by an introduction to the significance of International Mother Language Day, presented by our anchors. The cultural segment included a melodious singing performance by Adarsh, 3rd Year and Nikita, 1st Year, captivating the audience with their talent. Further, Aung Ko Mayo and Shivam Kumar delivered insightful speeches, emphasizing the importance of preserving and respecting linguistic heritage. To keep the audience engaged, an interactive game session was organized, which was skillfully hosted by Ziya Yadav, 3rd Year. The activity added an element of fun and excitement to the event, ensuring active participation from the attendees. A special highlight of the event was the recitation of a Sanskrit shloka along with its meaning, presented by Maansi, 2nd Year. This addition enriched the cultural essence of the celebration, reinforcing the depth and wisdom of ancient languages. In conclusion, Dr Pinki Chugh, Faculty Coordinator of the Literary Club, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the students' enthusiastic participation and the collective effort that made the event a grand success. The energetic participation of students and the well-coordinated efforts of the organizers made it an amazing and memorable celebration, further strengthening the appreciation of linguistic diversity.
