With an aim to sensitize and motivate the new faculty members, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized Faculty Orientation Program for Quality Enhancement-2025 on 28 February 2025. The purpose of this orientation program is to enable the new faculty members to understand their roles and responsibilities and familiarize them with the structure, governance, rules and regulations & functioning of the department.
Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director UIM extended a warm welcome to the new faculty members. Dr Suri quoted that presence of new faculty signifies a new beginning for them and a significant milestone in their academic community. He highlighted that fresh perspectives and expertise joining this institution will add to the pursuit of knowledge and excellence. He assured his full support and encouragement in achieving the collective mission.
Dr Tilottama Singh, HOD UIM addressed on departmental activities undertaken by the UIM. Dr. Tilottama emphasized the importance of smooth execution and coordination among faculty members. Further, she highlighted the basic elements of day-to-day record keeping ensuring smooth conduct of effective teaching.
Dr Anil Singh Chauhan, the COE of UIM, diligently elucidated the Examination and Evaluation Scheme of Uttaranchal University to the new faculty members. He emphasized the importance of maintaining academic rigor, fairness, and transparency in the evaluation process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Megha Aggarwal, Associate Professor (DIQAC) UIM, Uttaranchal University to the worthy Director Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, HOD, Dr Tilottama Singh, officials and new faculty members. On behalf of UIM, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the speakers for sharing their expertise and valuable insights, which will undoubtedly enrich the academic journey of all the faculty members in the department.
