Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management Celebrates Festive Season with "Mix, Bake and Celebrate" Cake Mixing Ceremony

Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM) marked the beginning of the festival season with its vibrant Cake Mixing Ceremony, held under the theme "Mix, Bake and Celebrate on 11 December 2024." The event brought together students, faculty, and staff for a lively celebration of tradition and culinary artistry. 

The ceremony, which is a prelude to Christmas and New Year festivities, saw participants enthusiastically mixing a blend of dried fruits, nuts, spices, and spirits that will go into preparing the much-loved Christmas fruitcake. This hands-on experience was not only a celebration of the holiday season but also an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and creativity in the kitchen. 

The event was started with the presence of Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Prof (Dr)Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor and Directors from other departments along with faculty members of USHHM and students. 

"We are proud to uphold this time-honoured tradition while incorporating it into our students' practical learning," said Dr Manish Badoni, Director, USHHM. " The theme 'Mix, Bake and Celebrate' reflects the spirit of teamwork, festivity, and hospitality that we aim to instil in our students." 

USHHM’s Cake Mixing Ceremony was a perfect blend of tradition, hospitality, and hands-on culinary learning, reflecting the institution’s commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the global hospitality industry.
