Law College Dehradun celebrated Bhartiya Bhasha Diwas, under the aegis of the Literary Club of Law College Dehradun on 11 December 2024. A Poetry Recital, competition in the language Bengali and Marathi was organized to celebrate linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their talent while paying homage to their native languages. Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal, LCD and Prof (Dr) Anil Dixit, Chairperson Literary Committee, Dr Radhe Shyam Jha, HoD and Dr Laxmi Priya Vinjamuri graced the event with their esteemed presence.
The event was meticulously coordinated by the Literary Club of the college, while the welcome speech was delivered by Prof (Dr) Anil Kumar Dixit, Ms Ujala Kumari, Convener and Ms Misthi Jain, CFO hosted the gathering admirably. The event concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Ms Ishika Singh.

The Participants enthralled the audience with captivating performances in a myriad of languages, showcasing the linguistic diversity of the region. Bhartiya Bhasha Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subramanya Bharati, a poet, journalist, and social reformer who was a pioneer of modern Tamil poetry.
