The Vedic Club of Uttaranchal University hosted a grand Navratri celebration on 04 October 2024, filled with artistic and cultural activities. The event brought together students from various colleges of Uttaranchal University and featured five main competitions: Rangoli, Poster Making, Aipan Art, Mandala Art, and Face Painting. The celebration was a vibrant display of creativity and tradition, beautifully aligning with the spirit of Navratri.
In the Rangoli Competition, participants crafted intricate and colorful designs, symbolizing festivity and prosperity. The winners for this category were:
1st - Team 17- Varsha Upadhyay, UIT
2nd - Team 23- Muskan, UIT
The Poster Making competition allowed students to express their creativity and conceptual skills through visually appealing designs on spiritual and cultural themes. The winners were:
1st – Snehanjali, SOA, I Year
2nd - Ankit Bhartiyam, UIM, III Year
In the Mandala Art competition, students created beautiful geometric patterns that reflected mindfulness and spirituality. The winners were:
1st – Deepika, UIT, I Year
2nd – Alsifa, UIPS, D Pharm, I Year
The Aipan Art competition, celebrating the traditional Kumaoni art form, was a highlight of the event. The winners were:
1st - Sanya Singh, MCA, USCS, I Year
2nd - Sonali Gusain, BBA, UIM, I Year
Finally, the Face Painting competition, where students used their faces as a canvas to portray themes of Navratri, saw brilliant and imaginative designs. The winners were:
1st - Shruti Tomar, UIPS, II Year
2nd - Mahi Dasila, UIT, 1 Year
The event was a colorful and joyful celebration, and the enthusiastic participation from students made it a grand success. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with creativity and cultural expression, left a lasting impression on everyone present. The winners were awarded certificates and prizes, while all participants were appreciated for their efforts and creativity.
