The University Sports Committee at Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with the Sports Club at the Uttaranchal Institute of Management and Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, organized a captivating Intra-College Badminton Tournament on 27- 28 September 2024. With spirited displays of talent and sportsmanship, participants showcased their badminton prowess, representing different departments and batches. The tournament featured ten boys' and girls' teams, intensifying the competitive spirit among the participants.
Girls team of UIT won the Doubles Table Tennis match against the team of LCD and Team UIT won hearts with becoming the first runner -up in all the four categories:

Badminton -Girls’
Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- of Uttaranchal University, along with Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare, Dr Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, Dr Ajay Singh, Director SALS and Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM presented the winners' trophy. Dr Shravan Kumar extended heartfelt congratulations to the victorious students for their remarkable achievement.
Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT commended Mr Gaurav Kumar, the Sports Coordinator of UIT for preparing the teams and bringing laurels to the department.
