The Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized an inspiring Alumni Talk, an interaction session, on 10 September 2026 for the first-semester hospitality students. The session, titled “Behind the Chef’s Coat: The Real Journey of a Professional Chef,” featured Mr. Roshan Singh, alumnus of BHMCT (2022–26) and currently working with Taj Damdama Lake Resort & Spa as a management trainee.
Sharing his personal journey “From USHHM to Taj Damdama,” Mr. Roshan Singh gave students valuable insights into the realities of the professional hospitality industry. He shared his experiences, challenges, learning, and growth as a young hospitality professional and motivated students to remain focused on their studies and continuously develop themselves. The Alumni Talk was conducted by Mr. Vijay Pant, Coordinator, Alumni Cell, USHHM, while Mr. Hitendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, USHHM, further enriched the session by sharing insights on the importance of professional development and career preparation.
The session concluded with an inspiring address by Prof. (Dr.) Manish Badoni, Director, USHHM, who encouraged students to make the most of their academic journey, develop strong professional skills, and prepare themselves for exciting opportunities in the global hospitality industry.
