The “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan” was organized on 09 September 2026 at Lok Bhavan Auditorium, Dehradun organized by Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand with the objective of creating awareness among youth regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to contribute towards building a healthy, responsible, and developed India.
The conference served as an effective platform for sensitizing students and faculty members about the growing importance of a drug-free society. The participation strengthened the commitment of the University community towards spreading awareness against substance abuse and encouraging young people to adopt healthy and productive lifestyles.
The participation of Uttaranchal University in the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan” was meaningful and impactful. The event provided valuable exposure to the participating faculty members and students and reinforced the University's commitment to promoting social awareness, responsible citizenship, and the overall well-being of youth. The event concluded with a renewed commitment towards the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and a Viksit Bharat, with youth playing a significant role in achieving this goal. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand as the Chief Guest and emphasized youth participation, social responsibility, and nation-building. Uttaranchal University was represented by 5 faculty members and 5 students.
