Intra-University Table Tennis Tournament

Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences successfully organized an Intra-University Table Tennis Tournament on 27 and 28 September 2024 under the aegis of the University Sports Committee, Uttaranchal University to foster an environment of healthy competition and sportsmanship among students.  

The event started with an inaugural ceremony, in the presence of Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice-President Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director Student Affairs and IT Services, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Dharm Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, DSW and Director, SLA & Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean Academics & Director UIM, Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS. 

The two-day tournament featured men's and women's singles and doubles matches, with standout performances. Mr Sahil Bhandari, External Refree ensured fair play. The finals on 28 September 2024 highlighted the best players competing for the titles. USCS concluded the event with a prize distribution ceremony. UIT won the Winner’s Rolling Trophy, while Law College Dehradun claimed the Runner-Up Trophy.  

Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma praised all the participants for their display of team spirit and enthusiasm for the sports. Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, acknowledged and commended the exceptional performance and dedication of the tournament's Winner and Runner-Up.  

The event was successfully coordinated by Mr Deepak Pant, Mr Praveen Shah and Mr Shiva Malik, University PTI with the support of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD USCS, Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Manisha Khanduja, Mr. Manish Negi and Student Volunteers Adarsh Naithani, Vivek Rawat, Rohit Semwal, Nimita Joshi, Dhruv Attri and Nargis Fatima.
