International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse in Library & Education 5.0

Knowledge Resource Centre and Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University jointly organised an International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse in Library & Education 5.0 on 27 September 2024. This landmark event united experts, academicians, researchers, and students to explore the transformative impact of AI and the Metaverse on libraries and education. 

The inaugural ceremony was honored with the presence of Chief Guest Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, President, Uttaranchal University, Key Note Speakers Prof (Dr) K P Singh, Director, Gandhi Bhawan University of Delhi, Head Quarter, New Delhi, Dr Michael Baron, CEO, Baron Consulting, Australia, Dr Leigh Griffin PhD, Senior Engineering Manager at Red Hat, Ireland, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Student Affairs & IT Services , Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director USCS & Convener, Dr Ramveer Tanwar, University Librarian and Convener, Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, Hod, USCS, Mr Arun Thakur and Mr Abhishek Pathak. 

A warm welcome was extended to dignitaries at the conference, which highlighted the crucial role of AI and the Metaverse in transforming education and libraries. Prof K P Singh stressed the importance of integrating technology in academics and encouraged adopting the 3 Cs—content, communication, and confidence—for success. 

The event saw active participation from national and international institutions, with over 200 research presentations. The panelists shared insights on future trends and innovations shaping learning and knowledge management. The vote of thanks proposed by Mr Harshit Gupta and Ms Divya Rawat.
