Utsav 2024 at School of Liberal Arts

“Utsav 2024”, a vibrant cultural festival, was organised by Mosaic: The Cultural Club of SLA at Uttaranchal University on 27 September 2024, with a powerful focus on women empowerment. The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, SLA; Dr Reeta Rautela, HoD; esteemed faculty members and students of SLA. 

Participants engaged the audience with four standout competitions—Storytelling, Skit, Poetry, and Garba—each tackling critical issues like sexual harassment and gender equality. Siddhi, winner of the Storytelling contest, inspired with her speech Soch-Shakti. Vaibhav’s skit powerfully addressed sexual harassment, while Niharika’s poetry highlighted the resilience of women. Anshika and Hanshi took home the Garba prize with their electrifying performance. 

A standout feature was the real-time audience live polling via QR codes, making the results both interactive and transparent. The winners were felicitated by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar and Dr Reeta Rautela, marking Utsav 2024 as a powerful celebration of women’s strength and cultural unity.
