On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Expressions, the Literary Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), organized a PowerPoint Presentation Competition titled "Educate Us" on 9 September 2024. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of literacy in shaping individuals and societies.
Students from various departments enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and knowledge through insightful presentations. Topics ranged from the significance of literacy in modern society to innovative ways of promoting education for all. The competition fostered a spirit of healthy competition and encouraged students to think critically about global literacy challenges.
The event was judged by Animesh Dabral, Club President and Dr Pinki Chugh, Club Coordinator, who praised the participants for their research, presentation skills, and innovative ideas. All the winners were awarded certificates and prizes. The competition was a great success, highlighting the importance of education and literacy in today’s world. Prof (Dr) Sanjeev Kumar Shah, HoD, BTech first year congratulated the students for organizing such an event.
The event was organized under the guidance and support of the Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT.
