On 13 September 2024, School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University conducted a highly knowledgeable workshop titled "Enhancing Research Manuscript Writing Skills Using Mendeley Reference Manager", for M Sc Agriculture students at the SOA. The workshop aimed to enhance students' research writing skills, specifically focusing on the use of Mendeley Reference Manager, a powerful tool for organizing references, citations, and bibliographies. The session was led by Dr Atin Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture, who shared his valuable expertise with the participants. He explained how to efficiently utilize Mendeley to manage research papers and automate the citation process. Additionally, students were introduced to techniques for finding relevant research papers and explored the application of statistical tools that can assist in their academic projects and thesis work.
Furthermore, Prof (Dr) Mahipal Singh, Director, School of Agriculture provided valuable suggestions on improving the quality of research work, encouraging students to focus on innovative and impactful research topics. Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD, SOA, suggesting use of right tools and resources to streamline the research process. The participants asked their doubts which were rectified satisfactorily by the experts. Overall, the workshop proved to be a productive learning experience, empowering students to enhance their manuscript writing and research skills.
