USCS celebrated the Programmers' Day

The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences faculty of Uttaranchal University celebrated Programmers' Day on 13 September 2024 with great enthusiasm and a series of engaging events 2024 with the aim to cultivate an atmosphere that sparks curiosity, promotes learning, and celebrates the boundless potential of technology.  

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, President Uttaranchal University, Smt Anuradha Joshi, Vice Chairperson, Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD USCS. 

The highlight of the celebration was the Interuniversity Tech Hackathon, "BYTE: Boost Your Tech Excellence," organized by the Codex Club head Mr Shubham Sharma which attracted over 200 talented students from various institutions. The first and second winners of the event were Shubham Tiwari & Rajat Balyan, Shaksham Dhasmana and Vaibhav Chauhan respectively.  

Concurrently, Website Development Club hosted Web Crafters on theme "Building a Better Future: Technology for Social Impact” managed by head Mr Ashish Bhatt. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 30 teams. The first, second and third winners of the event were Adarsh Naitahni, Sanya Singh & Naushad Alam, Fatima Al Zohra & Yash Raj respectively.  

The judges were Dr Ishteyaaq Ahmad, Mr Yogesh Juyal, Dr Amarjeet Rawat and Mr Sanjay Mishra. The event was enhanced by the insightful addresses of esteemed dignitaries. They motivated everyone to explore emerging trends, share ideas, and forge valuable connections, highlighting that the event provides a range of activities suitable for all levels of expertise. The day featured cultural activities, coordinated by Ms Noopur Das. It was great success with the support of Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Manisha Khanduja, Ms Divya Rawat and Mr. Harshit Gupta, and the entire USCS faculty.
