“Educational visit to Naya Avtaar De-Addiction Centre, Dehradun, organized by Uttaranchal College of Nursing, Uttaranchal University

  

Uttaranchal College of Nursing, Uttaranchal University, organised one-day educational visit to “Naya Avtaar De-addiction Center”, Dehradun, for B Sc Nursing V semester and VI semester students on 16 September 2024 under the guidance of Ms Gulshan Attri, Assistant Professor and Ms Jagrity Sharma, Assistant professor. The students had a great learning experience in the field. Mr. Singh oriented students with the infrastructure, administration and staffing pattern of their de addiction centre. They witnessed the patients with different substance abuse and even multiple substance abuse They learned the routine procedures and protocols of de addiction centre. They acquired an understanding of various therapies used in the case of substance abuse. The students also gave health education to all patients regarding a healthy life. In the end, students took a pledge to refrain their selves from any kind of substance in life. The visit fulfilled all prescribed objectives and proved fruitful.
