Department of Mechanical Engineering, UIT Organized An Industrial Visit to Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd, Rishikesh-Uttarakhand On 4th September, 2024

An Industrial Visit to Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd, Rishikesh-Uttarakhand was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University on 4th September 2024. Forty-nine students were accompanied by two faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Department. The visit aimed to expose students to a practical working environment and provide them with a good opportunity to gain full awareness of industrial practices. The visit provided a glimpse into the core industrial life beyond academics and offered first-hand exposure to the business operations and processes in the workplace. 

Ms. Neha, (Training Head-Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd), conducted a highly informative session for the students. She shared complete information on the latest trends in the shoe industry and gave briefed about the networks of Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd in India. The students were taken to several CNC and Moulding machines to understand the working process and principles involved. 

The visit concluded with a query session wherein the students addressed various technical questions to the technical head regarding the manufacturing process and technical issues that they faced during the theoretical study of the subject  

It was a successful and highly informative visit. The students of ME witnessed and understood the working of several machines such as CNC machines, Blow Molding machines and Injection Molding machines, etc. The tour was highly informational and enjoyable for the students. 

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dharam Buddhi appreciated the efforts and emphasized that such industrial visits should be encouraged which gives exposure to the latest techniques and technology used by industry. 

Prof.(Dr) Sumit Chaudhary (Dean-UIT) & Dr. Sanjeev Joshi (Head-ME), emphasized that Industrial visits are an integral part of engineering & this experience can help students to provide information regarding the functioning of various kinds of industries & technology used in them. 

Mr. Vivek John (Assistant Professor-ME) and Mr. Kshitij Pandey (Assistant Professor-ME) coordinated the industrial visit.
