An Industrial Visit to Zara Footwear Ltd, Dehradun was organized by CRC Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management for MBA First Year students on 23 August, 2024.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the Footwear and Apparel Manufacturing Co. mainly focused on High end fashion retail and distribution. The students were welcomed by Mr. Rajaullah Khan, Manager and Co-owner of the manufacturing facility. He escorted the students as they visited various parts of the plant. The students observed the manufacturing stages of various footwear and apparels. He also explained the supply chain management, distribution and marketing process of the company working for domestic and international markets. He also briefed about various HR policies and practices used.
At the end, students were invited for queries which were responded by him aptly and with proper details. Students appreciated the practical exposure received by them.
Dr. Bipin Kandpal and Dr. Rakesh Kumar were the coordinators of the visit which was proposed and guided by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, & r. Tilottama Singh, HoD, Management.
