Prakriti Club of Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences and NCC Unit, Uttaranchal University has organized plantation drive on 27 July 2024 to celebrate World Conservation Day in association with Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti & Youth Wing. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of conserving natural resources and fostering a greener planet.
Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS, Dr Sameer Dev Sharma HoD, USCS, Mr Nitin Duklan, Mr Vinayak Sharma Swami, President, Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti & Youth Wing and all the faculty of USCS along with volunteers enthusiastically planted numerous saplings, contributing to the enhancement of local biodiversity. The collective effort resulted in beautified surroundings and served as a practical example of how small, consistent actions can lead to substantial positive impacts on the environment. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms Manisha Khanduja with the support of Ms Manisha Saini and Mr Ajay Singh Rawat.
