Law College Dehradun extended a Grand welcome to its alumnus -Mohd. Wasiq, First a prosecution officer and then a Judge in the state of Uttarakhand

Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University organized a felicitation ceremony on 13 May 2024 to honour Mr Wasiq who became a judge in the state of Uttarakhand. Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitendra Joshi felicitated Wasiq with a bouquet and a Memento. He in his address stated that we are proud that this month three students at the university have become judges. He also extended his congratulation to the teachers and staff for creating a competitive environment in the college. 

Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean and Pro Vice- Chancellor averred that four students have become judges from Wasiq's batch, out of which two are working in Assam, one in Himachal Pradesh and one in Uttarakhand. He said that Wasiq hails from a farmer family in Roorkee and he was earlier selected for the post of Prosecution Officer. 

In his address, Mr Wasiq said that taking admission in Law College Dehradun is the guarantee of success for the candidates desirous of judicial service. Apart from the cooperation and education of the teachers here, the guidance of many seniors who have studied here and become judicial officers is also important. He gave the credit for his success to Principal Prof. Poonam Rawat, teachers and his parents. 

Those present on the occasion were Principal of the college, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Head, Dr Radhe Shyam Jha, Dr Anil Dixit, Dr Jitendra Singh, Dr Kuljeet Singh, Amit Kumar, Dr Shikha Uniyal Gairola, Mr Amber Srivastava, Mr Abhiranjan Dixit, Dr Vaibhav Uniyal and hundreds of students.
