On the occasion of Nurses Day, a vibrant and empowering rally was organized by Uttaranchal College of Nursing, Uttaranchal University. The event aimed to celebrate the invaluable contributions of nurses to healthcare, raise awareness about the nursing profession, and highlight the importance of nursing education.
The rally led by a colourful banner emblazoned with the theme "Our Nurses our Future: The Economic Power of care," participants embarked on a spirited march through the college campus to Slums area Nanda ki Chowki. Nursing students, faculty members, waving flags and chanting slogans honouring nursing excellence.
In line with the theme of promoting health, several health awareness activities were organized during the rally. These included health assessment, demonstrations of basic healthcare techniques such as Vital Monitoring, and distribution of informational Education on preventive healthcare measures by Nukkad Natak
The rally culminated in a memorable closing ceremony, where participants gathered to reflect on the day's events and reaffirm their commitment to advancing the nursing profession. Closing remarks emphasized the importance of collaboration, lifelong learning, and compassionate care in nursing practice.
Above all the rally was a resounding success, bringing together the college community to celebrate the noble profession of nursing. Through educational activities, and recognition of excellence, the event inspired a sense of pride and solidarity among nursing students, reaffirming their vital role in promoting health and healing in society. Ms Monika Massey, Nursing tutor of UCN expressed her sincere gratitude to all participants of nukkad natak and B Sc Nursing Students of II, IV and V semester who contributed to the success of the Nurses Day rally.
