The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), successfully organized an enlightening expert talk titled "Visionary Voices: Expert Talk on Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship" on 4th April 2025. The event aimed to inspire students to explore new frontiers in research and innovation while encouraging an entrepreneurial mind-set. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished experts, including Dr. Purnendu Shekhar Pandey, Mr. Yogesh Gupta, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh (Director of Research and Innovation), Prof. (Dr.) Anita Gehlot (Head, DRI), Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary (Director, UIT), Dr. Madhu Kirola (HoD, CSE), along with distinguished faculty members.
The keynote speaker for the session was Dr. Purnendu Shekhar Pandey, a renowned academician and expert in the field of research and innovation. Dr. Pandey delivered an insightful address, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary research, the role of innovation in solving real-world problems, and the rising opportunities in the startup ecosystem for young engineers. He shared practical strategies for turning ideas into impactful ventures and highlighted the significance of critical thinking and continuous learning.
The event was further graced by the presence of Mr. Yogesh Gupta, Managing Director, Morgan Building Technology Pvt. Ltd. Faculty members, research scholars, and over 200 students attended the event, actively participating in an interactive Q&A session with the dignitaries. The discussion provided a deep understanding of how students can align their academic knowledge with industry demands and societal needs.
Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director UIT, expressed his gratitude to the guests and remarked, “Such sessions are instrumental in shaping the vision and aspirations of our students towards meaningful innovation and entrepreneurship.”
