TuneTales-A Musical Storytelling Competition

 

The Literary Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a symphony of words and melodies event “TuneTales - A Musical Storytelling Competition” at the Lamour Bake House on 01 March, 2024. The event started with written and linguistic creativity of participants and enhanced with cultural exploration through the music. Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University motivated students to take part in such events and boost the confidence of participants.  

The event featured various performances, each a unique fusion of narratives and melody. Through the medium of music, participants shared original narratives that spoke to their feelings, experiences, and inventiveness. Judges for the event were Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola, SALS, Uttaranchal University, Mr Manish Ghalwan, Dr Gaurav Thakur, At the end, “UIM Band” came out as the winner, winning over all the judges and the spectators and “Sur Shakti” became the first runner-up. 

With solo performances, two of the faculty members of UIM gave the event an extra distinctive touch. Ms. Srishti Chamoli, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, mesmerized the audience with her soulful singing. Mr. Antriksh Barakoti, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, delivered a power-packed rap performance. 

The event was successfully organized by Literary Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University headed by Dr Megha Aggarwal, Associate Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Management with faculty members Dr Shailesh Chamola, Dr Geetu Sharma, Ms Anika Sharma, Assistant Professors, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University. Jahanvi Jakmola, and Mahi Lath, President & Vice-President of Literary Club conclude the event by vote of thanks to everyone. The event turned out to be a celebration of artistic expression, originality, and the enduring bond between music and storytelling.
