On the 7 March 2024, the Women’s Cell at Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) orchestrated a significant seminar entitled "Empowering Women: Understanding PCOD and Promoting Women's Health and Hygiene." This insightful event, aimed at shedding light on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), was graced by eminent speakers and attended by a robust participant count of 115 individuals.

The distinguished guests at the event included Dr. Vandana Tripathi (MD/PGDMCH), who brought her expertise to the platform, along with Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean UIT, and Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, HOD, CSE UIT. The seminar focused on bridging the knowledge gap surrounding PCOD, a condition prevalent among women yet often misunderstood. Through informative sessions and expert talks, attendees were equipped with insights into PCOD's symptoms, causes, and management strategies.

The overarching goal of the seminar extended beyond addressing PCOD alone; it sought to foster a holistic approach to women's health and hygiene. Discussions encompassed essential topics such as menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and mental well-being. By promoting open dialogue and community support, the event aimed to destigmatize conversations around women's health issues, providing a platform for guidance and empowerment.

Ms Anuradha Brijwal and Ms. Pratibha Dimri, faculty members of the CSE Department at UIT, led the organizing team, ensuring the seminar's success and impactful delivery.
