Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organised International Guest Session on “Professional Qualification Right Choice for Career

 

Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized an International guest session on "Professional Qualification: Right Choice for Career" on 6 February 2024, emphasizing the strategic integration of professional qualifications into career planning. The event underscored the importance of aligning academic pursuits with professional aspirations and broader career development objectives. 

  

Distinguished guests including Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dr Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice President, Uttaranchal University, Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dr. Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM graced the occasion. 

 

Dr Tilottama Singh commenced the session with a welcome note followed by ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries. Dr Tilottama Singh introduced Ms. Jacobs with a brief introduction. The esteemed International Guest speaker, Ms Teresa Jacobs, a prominent leader from the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), UK, shared insights on modern educational concepts, focusing on skill acquisition and employability enhancement. Ms Jacobs, Executive Director of the Learning wing of ISDC, emphasized the importance of professional qualifications in today's dynamic job market. 

  

During the session, Ms Jacobs facilitated engaging discussions on various aspects including Career Planning, Industry Relevance, Skill Enhancement, Global Perspective, Continuous Learning, Networking, and Return on Investment. The session aimed to equip students and professionals with informed decision-making skills regarding the integration of professional qualifications into their career trajectories for long-term success. 

  

Prof (Dr) Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice President of Uttaranchal University, and Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean Academics & Dean UIM delivered words of wisdom and motivation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and contributions towards the success of the session.
