A Seminar on Innovative advancement in molecular diagnostic and therapeutics for HIV was jointly organized by the NSS unit Uttaranchal University, Red Ribbon Club, and Biogenerika Club School of Applied and Life Sciences, on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st of December 2023. The seminar began with the welcome of dignitaries and the lighting of the lamp. Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh Dean, SALS, is his address emphasized on need to spread awareness about HIV, preventive measures, and how technological advancement can contribute to the diagnosis of HIV and other retroviruses. The participants from different disciplines presented their e-posters and presentations on the occasion. Dr Monika Singh in her talk emphasized an integrative approach including scientific innovations and support of society to address HIV challenges. Mr. James and Aum Garg were awarded the best oral presentation award and Anshu, and Tanisha were awarded the best poster presentation award. Dr. Nishesh Sharma coordinated the event, and Prof V K Srivastava, NSS Unit Officer, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Dr Himani Badoni, and Dr Yasir Khan were also present on the occasion.
