The Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering collaboratively orchestrated a seminar on "Strategy to Crack Engineering Services Exam, GATE & PSUs" on November 30, 2023. This event, conducted in partnership with MADE EASY, targeted B.Tech students from Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among engineering graduates about effective strategies for excelling in the Engineering Services Exam (ESE), GATE, PSUs, and other competitive exams, while also shedding light on career options post-B.Tech.
The inaugural ceremony unfolded at the Seminar Hall, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, featuring the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries. Keynote speakers for the program were Mr. Jitendra Tiwari, an educationalist and Senior Faculty at MADE EASY, and Mr. Kunal Goplani, Marketing Executive from MADE EASY Dehradun. The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey, Dean UIT, with Heads of all departments and faculty members in attendance.
Mr. Jitendra Tiwari, a LIMCA Book of Records registrant for memorizing the GRE Barrons dictionary, shared innovative learning methods during the session. Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey emphasized the importance of preparation for competitive examinations and correlated them with government sector recruitment.
Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi extended his best wishes and motivational words to the students. The workshop, conducted successfully by Mr. Gaurav Thakur, Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, and Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal, Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering, was guided by Mr. Awadhesh Chandramauli, Head Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Head Computer Science Engineering Department, and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Dhama, Head Aerospace Engineering Department, with great zeal.
