On 18 November 2023, Uttaranchal University celebrated its Convocation and Alumni Meet, which was a historic occasion. The ceremony, which began at 10 a.m., was attended by 119 students from Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) ranging from B Tech to PhD, who were celebrating the completion of their academic journey. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Lt. General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand.
The Convocation not only served as a platform for degree distribution but also provided a unique opportunity for the alumni to reconnect and reminisce about their time at UIT. The Alumni Meet, a significant part of the event, fostered an atmosphere of camaraderie as former students shared their experiences and memories of their college life. Dr S D Pandey, Dean UIT, delivered an inspirational address, extending his best wishes to the alumni on their diverse paths. The event witnessed a sentimental and emotional gathering as all the Heads and faculty members of UIT immersed themselves in the nostalgia of past interactions.
Amidst the energetic atmosphere, All Department HoDs Dr Sumit Chaudhary, HoD CSE; Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, HoD ME; Dr Sanjeev Dhama, HoD Aerospace; Mr Avdhesh Chandramauli, HoD Civil; Dr. S K Shah, First Year Coordinator; and Mr Anuj Kumar, Alumni Coordinator, and all faculties were present. Each Head of the Department shared the sentiment of the event, contributing to the overall sense of unity and pride. The Alumni Meet wasn't just a platform for academic exchange; it also became a space for moments of reflection and connection. Alumni and teachers alike captured memories through selfies, strengthening the enduring bonds forged during their academic journey.
