Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) organised a Poster Presentation Competition on the theme of 'Montreal Protocol: Restoring the Ozone Layer and Mitigating Climate Change' on 'Ozone Day' for university students under the auspices of the University Eco Club on September 16, 2023.
The inauguration of the event was graced by the Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean, UIPS along with the faculty members. The aim of the activity was flourishing the students to attempt to create a learning environment for intellectual expansion. The event's objective was to promote protect the ozone layer by taking measures to control total global production and consumption. The competition also aims to provide an opportunity for these students to reveal their skills and raise alertness and the skills of presentation of poster.
Dr. Vikash Jakhmola, Dean, UIPS motivated all the participants to explore their views, presentation skills via this platform of Poster- Presentation competition. He also enforced Ozone layer depletion due to industries, and others. Eminent Judges for this competition were Dr. Tarun Parashar HoD and Dr. Nidhi Nainwal, Associate Professor.
A total of 30 plus teams of students actively participated in the competition with full enthusiasm and interest. The event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Tarun Parashar HoD, UIPS, he applauded the creativity and presentation of the students for the activity and congratulated the winners. The event was organized by the Guards of Green Club of UIPS which was coordinated by Mr. Abhishek Sharma B.Pharm 4th Year & Faculty Coordinator Mr. Praveen Chandra Semwal & Mrs. Poonam Joshi.
