The School of Liberal Arts (SLA) at Uttaranchal University came alive with joy and nostalgia on the 5th of September 2023, as the students took the initiative to celebrate Teacher's Day with a unique theme - "Masti ki Paathshala" (The School of Fun). This event aimed to recapture the essence of school days and express gratitude to the dedicated educators who have played pivotal roles in the students' lives. Notably, the teachers, along with Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar Dean SLA, enthusiastically participated in this heartwarming celebration.
The event began with a traditional Indian welcome as students applied "tilak" on the foreheads of their teachers and performed the "aarti" ritual, symbolizing the auspicious start of the festivities. In return, the teachers greeted their students with a playful "good afternoon," creating a cheerful and nostalgic atmosphere.
The program featured an array of captivating performances by the students that touched everyone's hearts. Bhavya Sharma started with an energetic welcome dance. Bebak Chettri, presented a mashup of old songs, allowing the audience to join in the singing. Sourabh delivered heartfelt words of gratitude, while Neha showcased her graceful dancing skills, further adding to the emotional depth of the event.
One of the highlights was a skit performed by Prashant Kumar, emphasized the profound impact teachers have on their students' lives. The teachers themselves embraced the fun spirit, participating in a stunning ramp walk and engaging in classic competitive games. The event culminated in an award ceremony where winners received certificates, and picture frames were distributed as cherished mementos.
The grand finale featured a cake cutting ceremony, bringing together students and teachers in a moment of unity and celebration. This heartwarming celebration served as a testament to the strong bond between the students and educators at SLA.
