Law College Dehradun and the members of the ADRC had the great opportunity to interact with prestigious guests on 18th September 2023. The following legal personalities presided on the event:
1. Mr. Tariq Khan - A seasoned dispute resolution expert, serving as the Registrar at IAMC Hyderabad. His name is also included in BW Legal 40 under 40, and he is the author of the acclaimed book "On the Rise."
2. Mr. AJ Jawad - An Accredited Digital Dispute Resolution Specialist, currently holding the position of Partner at KD Lex Chambers LLP. AJ Jawad is a globally renowned Mediator and Trainer.
3. Mr. Krishna Gandhi - Highly regarded as a Senior Advocate at the Honorable High Court for Telangana, where he represents a broad spectrum of clients, including startups and Fortune 500 companies. He holds an MBA from Cornell University, a JD degree from Cleveland - Marshall College of Law, and additional qualifications in Computer Science from Cleveland State University.
4. Miss. Ayesha Jamal - Ms. Ayesha is a distinguished legal professional specializing in Law and Technology, IPR, Infrastructural disputes, and government advisory. She holds an LLM degree in Law and Technology from UC Berkeley and is the recipient of UC Berkeley's prestigious Henry W. & Nettie Robinson Fellowship in 2021. She specializes in ADR, particularly mediation, and currently serves as a legal advisor at NHAI, representing different departments of GNCTD before the High Court of Delhi.
5.Miss. Sunayna Kandala - Ms. Sunayana Kandala graduated from ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad, and was enrolled in the Bar Council of Telangana in 2021. She specializes in Business and International Laws with notable experience in research, handling Labour disputes, arbitration in Public-Private Partnership, infrastructural matters, mergers and acquisitions, and insolvency and bankruptcy cases.
Engaging with these renowned dignitaries proved to be a transformative opportunity for the members of the LCD-ADRC. The members were given a glimpse into the real world of arbitration, mediation, and negotiation. In addition, this interaction paved the way for future collaboration of Law College Dehradun with IAMC, Hyderabad.
