Uttaranchal University, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, commemorated the 76th anniversary of Independence on 15th August 2023, with a splendid fervour held at the University premises.
As part of the celebrations, the event showcased the university's dedication to nurturing patriotism and unity amongst all the citizens. The festivities, which commenced at 8:45 AM at the Shaurya Deewar, featured cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and moments of reflection on India's historic journey towards freedom and progress.
The event was attended by the staff, students, and NCC Cadets of the University, and it displayed the university's solidarity and adherence to national values. Hon’ble Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and talked of aligning the spirit of nationalism with the university's mission to cultivate responsible citizens and leaders. Prof (Dr) Satbir Sehgal, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dr Anuj Kumar Rana, Lt. Nitin Duklan along with other Deans, Directors and Heads were present for the occasion.
The celebration culminated with captivating cultural programs presented by the university's talented students, capturing the essence of India's rich diversity.
