Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), in collaboration with CRC Uttaranchal University, organized a seminar on "Navigating Career Opportunities and Skills Required for IT Professionals" on August 16, 2023, exclusively for fresher students. The primary objective of this seminar was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of building a successful career and fostering the right attitude for success. The esteemed guest speaker for the seminar was Ms. Sonali Tiwari, HR Expert and Talent Partner - Technology at CentralNic PLC.


The event commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Dean of USCS, and Mr. Iqbal Singh Sawhney, Associate Director and Head of CRC. Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma inspired the students by emphasizing the importance of continually expanding their skill sets, staying updated with industry advancements, and actively seeking out career advancement opportunities. She encouraged students to explore every opportunity that comes their way. Mr. Iqbal Singh Sawhney then provided an overview of the numerous initiatives undertaken by CRC to promote promising employment opportunities for students at Uttaranchal University. He explained how CRC assists students in preparing for competitive exams, enhancing their personalities, excelling in interviews with prominent IT companies, and ultimately selecting the best career path.


Ms. Sonali Tiwari, the guest speaker, delved into the art of harnessing one's skills effectively. She motivated students to take ownership and collaborate as a team. She discussed the essential elements for consistent growth, including smart and diligent work, maintaining focus and passion, building a professional network, participating in courses and internship programs, and highlighted that the key to achieving remarkable success is to genuinely love what one does. She encouraged students to persistently seek their true passion in their careers.


The seminar effectively addressed students' inquiries regarding their career prospects, thanks to the insightful discussions and guidance provided by the speakers. The coordination of the event was executed seamlessly by the Masters of Ceremony (MOC), Mr. Harshit Gupta, Ms. Manisha Saini, Ms. Manisha Khanduja, and the technical staff.
