An Industrial Visit to Honeywell Ltd., Dehradun was organized by CRC Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, for MBA First Year students on 25 August 2023. Mr. Bipin Kandpal, Head CRC Club, UIM, Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM were the coordinators of the visit which was proposed and guided by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the manufacturing process, Human Resource Management, Sustainable production of the organization.
The group was welcomed by Mr. Vivek Sharma, Head, HR, and Mr. Arun Kumar, Site Head, Honeywell Ltd., Dehradun. First, they briefed the students about the company, its vision, mission, and its products. Thereafter, students were escorted by Plant Supervisor Mr. Hemendra Khugsal to various production units. The students were given a guided visit to different sections like raw material processing, assembling and sub assembling units, packaging, and quality control. They came to know about various practices like KANBAN, Lean Manufacturing and sustainable production methods used by the company.
Finally, the students were invited for queries, wherein many students raised their queries and Site head aptly answered them all. Prior to this student were welcomed with tea and refreshments. Students were elated by the vis
