An Industrial Visit to India Glycols Ltd. Dehradun was organized by CRC Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, for MBA First Year students on 29th Aug,2023.
Mr. Paramjeet Singh (Senior Manager CRC), Mr. Bipin Kandpal (CRC Coordinator), and Dr. Tilottama Singh (HoD, UIM) were the coordinators of the visit which was proposed and guided by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the manufacturing process of a chemical industry dealing with manufacturing of herbal and plant extracts for many industries.
The group was welcomed by Ms. Aditi (HR Manager) and Ms. Manisha (Operations Manager) of the plant. The students were escorted to board room where Production engineer briefed about the company’s profile and its various product verticals. He explained the process of manufacturing of various chemical ingredients extracted from herbs, flowers, condiments etc. Thereafter, students were escorted by him to the main production areas of Chemical extraction processes, warehousing, packaging sections.
Finally, the students were invited for queries, wherein many students raised their queries, and he aptly answered them all. Students were elated by the visit.
