The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, in collaboration with Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University under the aegis of the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, organized a webinar on 'An Initiative to Create Awareness of Transgender Rights' on March 14. The speaker included Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University), Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma (Dean, USCS), Dr. Vijaylakshmi Sajwan (Coordinator, USCS), and Abha Vijayan. The webinar emphasized the significance of the third gender's contribution and the need to educate students about contemporary social issues.
