Cultural club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized Cultural Event “Rang Barse” Rangoli Competition

At Uttaranchal Institute of Management, emphasis is given on not only making a student academically brilliant, but also culturally sensitive. The cultural events help students to enhance their organizational, leadership, interpersonal skills which also assist them in their respective careers.

The Holi event“Rang Barse” was organized by the cultural club, UIM on March 3rd, 2023,from 2:30 P.M. onwards. The theme of the Rangoli was “Festival of Holi”. Keeping in mind the sustainable development goals, only colours were used for the Rangolis. No food item or flowers were used.15 teams participated in the event, with 5 students each. The event coordinators wereMs. Manleenjot Kaur (Assistant Professor, UIM) and Ms. Ayushi Sharma(Assistant Professor, UIM). The honorable judges were Mr. Anil Singh Chauhan(Assistant Professor, UIM), Dr. Madhu Arora(Assistant Professor, UIM), Dr. Bipin Kandpal(Assistant Professor, UIM), Mr. Vasim Ahmad(Assistant Professor, UIM), and Captain Rakesh Kumar(Assistant Professor, UIM). 

At the outset, Dr. Tilottama Singh, Head of the Department, UIM addressed thepartcipants and started the event.

  • The student event coordinator was Anshul Singh of BBA 4th semester.
  • The students enthusiastically participated and made beautiful Rangolis.The competition was of one and a half hour.
  • The winners were given certificates of appreciation by Dean, UIM- Dr. H. S. Grewal. Sir appreciated students for their creative ideas on Rangoli and motivated them to participate in the future events as well.
  • At last vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, technical and supportive team, and participants was proposed by a student of BBA 1st year, Vivek Bhatt.
  • Around 75 students participated.
