Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University, launched the 'Uttaranchal University Silver Jubilee Law Lecture Series' under the aegis of Moot Court Society, on 25 September 2026 to mark its 25th year of establishment. Justice Ravindra Singh, a former judge of the Allahabad High Court, was the chief guest and keynote speaker on this occasion. The theme of the inaugural lecture was 'Criminal Jurisprudence under the backdrop of Constitutional Morality'. More than 800 law students participated in the event, which was held at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the university. Hon’ble President of the University, Shri. Jitender Joshi welcomed the Justice with a bouquet and presented him with a memento. He remarked that in this era of materialism, constitutional morality is not only highly relevant but also essential.

Justice Ravindra Singh began his address by interpreting criminal jurisprudence within the context of constitutional morality. He explained the entire process of a criminal case from the filing of the First Information Report (FIR) to the trial and final verdict—in a very simple manner. It is worth noting that Justice Ravindra Singh is a renowned figure in the judiciary for the speedy disposal of criminal cases. He holds a record for disposing of over one lakh criminal cases during his tenure and over 30,000 cases in a single year. He stated that there are no fixed limits to success, career growth, or earnings in the legal profession; the heights one can reach depend entirely on hard work, intelligence, and dedication. Sky is the limit for this profession.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, and Principal Prof. Poonam Rawat also addressed the students and congratulated them on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee year.
