The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) Club of the Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, organized a successful industrial visit for the MBA & B.Com. 1st year students to Honeywell India Ltd, Selaqui, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on August 13th and 14th August 2026.
This initiative was organized under the visionary guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Prof. (Dr.) Tillotama Singh, HoD, UIM. Their steadfast commitment to providing students with practical industry exposure continues to drive impactful experiential learning initiatives. The visit was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Bipin Chandra Kandpal, Assistant Professor, UIM and Mr. Parichay Durga, Assistant Professor, UIM, ensuring a seamless and informative experience for all participants.
During the visit, the students were welcomed by Mr. Akshay Kumar, HR Executive at Honeywell India Ltd. who provided valuable insights into the organization's operations and professional practices. The industrial visit offered students an opportunity to understand the functioning of a manufacturing unit producing electrical equipment, switches and switchgears that helped to gain practical exposure to various aspects of the manufacturing environment. The immersive experience enabled students to observe and understand manufacturing operations, production processes, quality management, workforce coordination, and organizational practices. The interaction with the company's professional representative further helped students connect theoretical management concepts with their practical implementation in an industrial setting. The visit provided them with a holistic understanding of how management principles are applied within a manufacturing organization.
