The School of Liberal Arts organized an Awareness Programme on “Campus Placement and Career Opportunities” on 25 August 2026 in the SLA Seminar Hall for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The programme was conducted by Mr. Parmjit Singh, Sr. Manager corporate Resource center at Uttaranchal University. He shared valuable insights into the campus placement process and guided students on the skills and competencies required to successfully navigate recruitment opportunities in today’s competitive professional environment.


The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness among students regarding the various stages of campus recruitment and to help them prepare effectively for their transition from academic life to the professional world. The session provided students with a realistic understanding of employer expectations and highlighted the importance of systematic preparation for future career opportunities.


During the programme, Mr. Singh discussed several important aspects of campus placements, including resume preparation, communication skills, aptitude tests, interview preparation, professional etiquette, and effective self-presentation. He emphasized the significance of developing employability skills, maintaining confidence during recruitment processes, and continuously working towards personal and professional growth.


Mr. Singh also stressed on the importance of adopting a proactive approach towards career planning and continuously enhancing skills, and professional competencies. He noted that consistent effort throughout one’s academic journey, rather than last-minute preparation, plays a crucial role in achieving placement success.


The session was highly informative, interactive, and engaging. Students gained practical knowledge about recruitment process while developing a better understanding of professional conduct, effective communication, and interview confidence. The programme proved to be a valuable initiative that enhanced students’ awareness of campus placement opportunities and encouraging them to remain focused, confident, and committed to lifelong learning and professional excellence.
