Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences organised a comprehensive eight-day Deeksharambh 2026, Student Orientation cum Induction Program from 18th August 2026 to 26th August 2026, for newly admitted students to familiarise them with academic procedures, campus facilities and university life. The programme began with student reporting and departmental orientation covering programme structures, credits, laboratories and hospital facilities. During the central-level event at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Hon’ble President Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Vice President, Ms. Ankita Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajesh Bhauguna along with the Director, UCHS addressed the young healthcare professionals. They encouraged students to pursue academic excellence, uphold professional ethics and serve society with compassion and dedication.
Major sessions focused on mentor-mentee interaction, anti-ragging awareness, substance-free living, research and innovation, examination procedures, the UUERP system and Central Library services. Human values and ethical medical practice were also emphasised. Career guidance, communication skills, cybersecurity and responsible digital behaviour formed important parts of the programme. Creative arts, cultural presentations, literary activities and indoor and outdoor sports promoted talent, teamwork and student participation.
A campus tour and recreational excursion to Mall of Dehradun helped students become familiar with their new environment. The sessions concluded with student feedback, leaving the newcomers confident, informed and enthusiastic about their professional journey.
