Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, organized a session on “Cyberwise Campus: Creating a Culture of Digital Safety” on 14 August 2026 at the Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management. The session was conducted with the objective of promoting awareness about responsible digital practices and encouraging a culture of cyber safety among students and members of the university community.
The session was led by Mr. Nitin Sharma from the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), who addressed the importance of developing safe and responsible digital habits in an increasingly technology-driven environment. The theme focused on the need for individuals and educational institutions to remain alert to digital risks while making effective and responsible use of online platforms and technologies.
The program highlighted the significance of cyber awareness in everyday academic and personal activities. Students were encouraged to understand the importance of protecting personal information, exercising caution while using digital platforms, and adopting secure online practices. The session also reinforced the idea that digital safety is a shared responsibility that requires awareness, vigilance, and informed decision-making.
Through the initiative, USHHM sought to contribute to the broader goal of creating a secure and digitally responsible campus environment.
